Renewing the Cannon Building. The oldest House office building (dating back to 1908) is being modernized. The space will reopen with a beautiful, bright space and new areas for student programs and hands-on activities. Combined with redesigned and engaging information about how Congress works, the goal is for visitors to leave the Capitol with an understanding of their value as engaged citizens and the importance of their role in our democratic republic.
